About
Karen Corlis is a Registered Massage Therapist and Sports Injury Therapist graduating in 2006 from the Canadian Therapeutic College, Burlington.
Karen has been working in a clinical setting for many years, focusing on deep tissue massage, mand sports injury therapy. She also has practical experience with Myofascial cupping, Ultrasound, Laser Therapy and Interferential Current.
She volunteered as a student with the Mohawk Men’s Varsity Soccer team and the Mississauga Twin AAA Baseball Team as their Sports Injury Therapist. After graduation, Karen opted to stay with both teams for an addition two years, volunteering her services.
As a Registered Massage Therapist and Sports Injury Therapist, Karen has had the opportunity to working alongside Olympic, World and National athletes in a clinical setting to help with soft tissue manipulation, stretching, strengthening and increasing performance.
In June of 2014, Karen along with her co-worker and friend Gina started KGC Therapy.
Working alongside her clientele she aims to provide personalized treatment plans that are tailored to individual client’s needs. She enjoys assisting people in regaining mobility, strength, function and providing education on how to prevent injury recurrence by providing home care exercises and treatment plans.
Karen is committed to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. In her spare time, Karen likes to go walking, doing the mountain stairs (in Hamilton), weight training and Pilates. Karen also participates in the Army Half Marathon held in Ottawa, Ontario. She also very involved with her church and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
