Dr. Amber Purins
Dr. Amber Purins completed her undergraduate education at McMaster University, where she graduated with an Honours Degree in Kinesiology. While at McMaster, Amber competed as Captain of the Women’s Varsity Rugby team. Dr. Purins went on to complete her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Clinic Honours.
Dr. Purins enjoys practicing within a multi-disciplinary setting and is a strong advocate for inter-professional collaboration. Dr. Purins has pursued training in several different treatment approaches as an adjunct to her chiropractic training. She is full-body trained in Active Release Technique (ART®) and has been trained in Graston soft tissue therapy, Activator, Thompson and Webster adjustment techniques. Dr. Purins treats a variety of conditions and injuries throughout the entire musculoskeletal system. She bases her practice on a patient-centered, evidence-based approach utilizing the most up-to-date research, treatment options, and patient education to provide the most comprehensive care possible. As an athlete herself, Amber enjoys treating athletes at all levels of the athletic spectrum from leisure to recreational through to elite competitive athletes. Dr. Purins also has a keen interest in women’s health, pregnancy-related care, post-partum return to activity, and post-natal development.
